Barcelona is always at the top of the list when it comes to finding precedents for street trees and boulevard design. What I appreciate most about these streets are the expansive space left for pedestrians, which is almost as much as the street itself. It would be incredible if more designers took this image into perspective when they began to think of their ideal “town centre boulevard”. I wish us all to stop designing 3ft wide medians that can’t even hold enough soil for trees, and start making more spaces for people to occupy the streets (safely).

Japanese Food Greeting Cards by furrylittlepeach

Come find me on FacebookTwitter, Etsy and Instagram

I spent today designing Japanese food-inspired, love-confessing greeting cards. I’m designing their packaging tomorrow and hopefully I’ll get them packed, printed and up in my store next week.

election:

THIS IS IT.

Today, we ask you to take 3 simple steps:

  1. Using the Our Time tool in the footer of this page, PLEDGE to vote and LOOK UP your polling place and local ballot lineup.
  2. Get your ass to a polling place and VOTE like your future depends on it (if you haven’t already). In 10 states you can even register to vote AT your polling place - so if you’re in ID, IA, ME, MN, MT, NH, RI, DC, WI, or WY, you really have no reason not to get out there today!
  3. Post a photo of yourself sporting an “I voted” sticker or in any other way congratulating yourself for being a good citizen today - and tag it #GPOTV (yes, that’s GPOY + GOTV).

Then you are free to sit back and follow the developments hereherehere, and here

Thank you, from all of us at Tumblr.

swedens:

I love this image so much.

I’ve seen some women who are offended by this and say it’s ridiculous that her cleavage is showing and things of that sort.

Personally, I think it’s great.

Why should we have an image of a women with her hair tied up and flexing her muscles like she’s a man? (not that that isn’t great too!) In a way it suggests that when our hair is down, our breasts are visible and we wear (GASP) lipstick, we’re somehow lesser than men? We can do it! We can be feminine and successful.

You see what I’m saying here, ladies?

You don’t have to lose your femininity. Being feminine is great. Being masculine is great. Strength is not limited to one way of being.
